The Origin Story
Skycircuitvelo wasn’t started just to be another tour operator; it exists because we found a road cycling paradise and couldn’t believe how few riders knew about it.
After 25 years years riding this sector, our founder Tom Mann is STILL blown away by the road quality, the near-zero traffic, and the sheer density of climbs: from Tour de France giants to unknown, abandoned cols; all packed into one small area. Our central sector isn’t just “another” place to ride; it is the ultimate road bike training ground.
Shocked by the lack of local cycling infrastructure and support, and the difficulty of access from major transport hubs, Tom decided to launch Skycircuitvelo to deliver hassle-free premium road cycling trips at affordable prices.
Ride in solitude in a “Parc Naturel”, not an overdeveloped traffic hotspot
Our base sits deep within the Parc Naturel Régional des Pyrénées Ariégeoises. This is a protected status that encourages sustainable tourism and keeps the landscape wild, unspoiled, and teeming with incredible flora and fauna..
Pure Tranquillity: Our immediate sector is also simply one of the least populated in all of France; you will often climb for over an hour without seeing more than 5 cars, and you can descend in peace without dodging hoards of cyclists coming up!
Wildlife Encounters: Our rides are always shared with the local wildlife. You will be climbing underneath circling Griffon Vultures, Buzzards and Sparrowhawks, spotting deer in the tree line, and riding through an explosion of protected flora.

Whilst we understand the attraction and variety of a point-to-point tour and E-W Pyrenees “Raid”, the reality involves daily packing, travel fatigue, needlessly long days for the amount of climbing, and anonymous hotels. We offer a Fixed-Base Luxury Strategy.
Sleep Hygiene & Recovery: Ask any pro: recovery is where the gains are made. Instead of sleeping in a different, variable-quality bed every night, you unpack just once in our exclusive detached 4-star villa. You establish a rhythm, sleep deeply and for longer, and wake up refreshed. And if you want a rest day, you just stay in bed or explore the neighbouring touristic gems!
Agility: Because we don’t have to move to the next town every day, we can adapt the route to the weather and the state of your legs… If it’s raining in the south, we hit the sunny foothills in the north. If the afternoon is a washout, we ride the morning. We chase the best conditions to maximise your time on the bike and your enjoyment.

But that makes it difficult to access alone – hire bike providers are far away, and transfers are very expensive and complicated. Water points are sparse on long climbs. Mobile networks are patchy. This lean structure allows us to deliver a genuinely premium service at a much keener price point than large international operators. Our prices are set only to deliver the quality of your experience, not to cover margins for middlemen, remote suppliers or a head office in town.
We run only as many trips as we can personally manage to a high standard, meaning you get our absolute best focus before and during your cycling holiday.

Your trip is designed and delivered by Tom Mann, a lifelong cyclist with a background in high-stakes project delivery. Tom applies that professional obsession with detail and planning to your holiday logistics, always aiming for a flawless operation.
Tom has been holidaying in this sector all his life, speaks fluent French and English, has lived here with his family since 2019, and over the years has personally ridden nearly all 68 unique climbs in our sector. This intimate knowledge gives your group the advantage of perfectly adapted route planning in line with your requirements, detailed safety insights, a sharp eye for coffee and food stops, and the flexibility to adapt your rides on the fly if needed.
